Join us for two upcoming pairing dinner with Japan’s acclaimed Kanosuke Distillery on Thursday, Aug. 13 & Thursday, Aug. 20 at Yonsei Handrolls in Oakland. Below you will find the 5-course menu, each course paired with a distinct Kanosuke whisky — including some exclusive limited editions. $135 per person, all inclusive (menu, pairings, tax & gratuity).

It gets better — following the dinner, guests will have the opportunity to purchase bottles of Kanosuke at cost, including the limited edition bottles, as well as our Yonsei Bourbon! Kanosuke general manager, Roland Ng, will also have surprise pours from Japan to share while guiding the tasting.

Each seating (6pm & 8:30pm) will have 24 guests in our private dining room. Parties will be seated at their own tables. Reserve your spot for a night of rare pours and handrolls!

About Kanosuke Distillery

Founded in 2018 on Japan’s southwest coastline in Kagoshima, Kanosuke Distillery is known for its elegant, expressive whiskies crafted using a unique triple pot still distillation process. Drawing inspiration from the region’s warm climate and rich distilling heritage, Kanosuke produces award-winning single malts and limited editions that showcase the depth and nuance of Japanese whisky.

Named after the second generation leader of the company, Kanosuke Komasa, the two-story distillery overlooks Fukiagehama Beach and features 3 unique pot stills, compared to the typical 2 pot stills found in other small distilleries. Each of the three pot stills has a different neck shape and lyne arm angle which yields uniquely flavorful distillates to create the Kanosuke profile.
